My best hope and ultimate aim is, that by exhibiting  in public spaces and galleries, and exposing  my work to the public will to help to promote a greater understanding, compassion and acceptance within our community - through Photographic description illustrating the positive benefits of  - and the achievements to be gained from - social inclusiveness, irrespective of anyone perceived ( by those uninformed ) as 'disadvantaged'.

Analogue film and the traditional silver print....
I believe that nothing can substitute the traditional hand crafted print  produced in the darkroom, with its impossibility of exact repeatability, and the inevitability of every print possessing subtle difference no matter how small .
For me, it's the interpretation of my negative in the darkroom, and translating it in to the print that I pre - visualised at the moment I pressed the camera shutter that gives it final life.
Looking at an analogue print is to witness something that does not exist in exactly the same way anywhere else. Each finished print is as singular and as unique as the person or object within the picture.
For many photographers the computer screen, iPad etc have made it okay to not actually make a print. Without the print as the final step photographically,  what have we preserved?

My opinions concerning the value and validity of photography as an art form and/or craft, are wholly personal.
